Anchor stranded cotton is comprised of 6 easily separable strands of the finest quality long staple mercerised cotton. Silky in appearance, it is available in 460 colour balanced and co-ordinated Anchor shades, and is used extensively throughout the world. It can be used for freestyle and counted thread embroidery. This stranded cotton is particularly popular for cross stitch.
Description
Anchor six strand embroidery floss is made of 100% long-staple Egyptian Giza cotton. This lustrous mercerized cotton floss is available in 460 colors, including 444 solids and 16 shaded colors. Available in an 8 meter (8.7 yds.) skein the floss can be divided into six individual strands and be used on very fine to medium weight fabrics. Anchor stranded embroidery floss can be used for free-style and crewel embroidery, cross stitch and counted thread embroidery, needlepoint and canvaswork techniques.
